NYS Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB)

Students in New York State speak over 200 languages. The New York State Seal of Biliteracy (NYSSB) recognizes students who have attained a high level of proficiency in two or more world languages (one of which must be English) by high school graduation. Learn the nuts and bolts of how to get started from Candace Black, Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages at NYSED. Also, hear firsthand how a charter school implemented the program.
